GPT-5.4 Mini and Nano arrive in Azure AI Foundry for low-latency enterprise deployments

Microsoft added GPT-5.4 Mini and GPT-5.4 Nano to Azure AI Foundry. Both models are distilled from GPT-5.4 and optimized for low-latency enterprise workloads. They are available now through Foundry for enterprise AI deployments.

The distinction here is the delivery channel, not the models. GPT-5.4 Mini and Nano were previously announced by OpenAI. Azure Foundry availability means these models are now accessible through enterprise contracts, existing Azure compliance frameworks, and Azure SDKs — without switching infrastructure providers. For organizations already on Azure AI, distilled frontier models at low latency and lower cost are available today.
