Perplexity launches Comet Enterprise — AI browser now available to enterprise teams

Perplexity launched Comet Enterprise on March 17, making its AI-native browser available to enterprise customers. The launch follows the March 12 rollout of Computer for Enterprise — the agent layer — giving enterprise teams both the browser and the agentic backend as a combined enterprise stack. Computer for Enterprise routes work across 20 AI models, connects to 400+ business tools including Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, HubSpot, and GitHub, and supports "Skills" — preset workflow instructions organizations define for their specific processes. Perplexity's internal benchmark: in a study of 16,000+ queries, Computer for Enterprise saved $1.6 million in labor costs and completed the equivalent of 3.25 years of work in four weeks. The enterprise stack is built on SOC 2 Type II compliance, SAML SSO, audit logs, and isolated cloud execution environments.

Perplexity is now selling a complete enterprise browser-plus-agent bundle, which is a different product category than anything OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google currently offers. Those companies sell API access or chat subscriptions. Perplexity is selling the browser itself as the enterprise interface — meaning the browsing session, the agent, and the business tool integrations are all one surface. There's no separate AI tool to log into; it lives where work already happens.
